Happy March 1st!!

Well, it officially starts in exactly 2 and 1/2 hours, but oh how excited I get! I will be headed to buy flowers to fill my small balcony as I do every year. Something I truly enjoy/  I wish I could have live flowers and plants inside but with 3 cats they beg to differ. I can only imagine the mess they would make! OY!

  March also brings lots of winds and rain. They help the flowers  spring to life in the warm sun. There are birds singing and I can not tell you how happy that makes me. I am crazy about wildlife and birds. Go figure/  Also, March brings my birthday, my daughter's birthday and my son in law and I both share a birthday! How crazy is that? I am for now enjoying the late afternoon sun shining in on the place. My cats are so funny as they seem to go from room to room and soak it up whichever room it happens to be in. It tickles me watching them/
So, Happy March everyone. Enjoy the Flowers. the birds, the wind and soak up some sun!

This post is all about downsizing/ A lot of people have been coming to me lately about Downsizing/ Getting rid of treasures/ changing lifestyle/ So thought I would share a few of my thoughts on the subject! About 4 years ago Lloyd and I downsized in a major way. Moving from a 2800 square ft. home to a 1250 sq ft condo.  It just made since. I was not able to care for such a big place having Lupus and shortly after we moved Lloyd had to have major heart surgery/ So, in essence it all worked out for the better/ I have to say that God is always in control and he knew our needs far more than we did. I sold cabinets/ huge primitive dough bowls/ collections/ and I do not miss one bit of it.  I feel like if you look back then you never see the possibilities of what is in store for your future. That's the way life goes/  If it is in your future don't fear. Instead look forward to a challenge.  Look ahead and be happy/

So, if you feel a calling to downsize/ do it/ I think you will be surprised at how great it feels! Who needs 20 dough bowls or 50 pieces of old pewter? Not me. No more/

Prim Perfect

Is it me or do you feel like with Primitives you are always buying/selling and never feeling truly satisfied with what you have? I get so out of sorts sometimes I want to sell everything! Then other days I look at it and think Wow, that looks great!  I'll never sell that!! A week later I'm listing it on Facebook to sale. I think it's a sickness to which there is no cure! haha BUT, I can say this. It is fun, the hunt is super exciting and you are always out scouring for something old/ tattered and worn! But, it can be overwhelming and exhausting! But, like any good junky we drag our butts out the door searching looking for that perfect primitive piece. You people know exactly what I am talking about!

It also makes no sense to me that I go and sell something I love in able to go to a primitive show and I know I am not alone in that! So enjoy life and enjoy your prims people! It could be worse Right?

Olde cloth dolls!

Snowy days and monday's

So this morning while cleaning my phone rings, and it was Tasha, my daughter. My grandson, Nick was sick at school so I threw on some clothes and headed out to get him. Full, Nana mode. haha / He had a belly ache and I stopped and got him some Diet 7UP and a new coloring book. Star Wars/ I fixed him soup and kept him warm. He is feeling much better this evening and was able to have his supper. It snowed a lot this evening and some of it stuck but it is so cold out! I hope everyone is keeping warm!  It's a good night to stay in and watch TV or as I love to head to my Pinterest board/

Happy 1st day day of February

I simply can not believe it is already February! That means Valentines Day is in exactly 14 days! I have always loved that very special day and getting those sweet little cards at school! How fun! Of course now that I am older I still like getting the sweet cards from special friends. So, I created a Valentines Group on FB and we all exchange Valentines/  Last time I did this I got quite a haul in the mail. Just something fun to do.  I am always looking for creative fun things to do/ Enjoy the special Month of February.
